To make things even more painful, do try to remember the musketeer-themed video.

May have distracted child-molesters from molesting children for 3 minutes or so.

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Sunday, 9 April 2006 22:46 (twenty years ago)

vote classic. rod kicking the piss out of sting&adams is more than worth the price of admission. also note mutt lange.

beavis: AAAAAAAAAGH! it's a supersuck group!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 10 April 2006 01:39 (twenty years ago)

At least it doesn't get played on the radio much these days.

NoTimeBeforeTime (Barry Bruner), Monday, 10 April 2006 02:03 (twenty years ago)

Sting didn't write the lyrics?

Joe (Joe), Monday, 10 April 2006 02:11 (twenty years ago)

It's not as bad as "Everything I Do (I Do It for You)"

Matos-Webster Dictionary (M Matos), Monday, 10 April 2006 02:50 (twenty years ago)

It's not as bad as "Everything I Do (I Do It for You)"

Oh, I think it is worse, but fortunately it wasn't played as much.

Hmmm...Probably the worst vocal harmonies arrangement of all time. But we're supposed to defend it, right?

Sorry, can't.

See, the whole reason for this thread is that I'm in Detroit visiting my folks and this piece of sonic lard assaulted me, via rental-car radio, twice over one weekend. I'm not sure what the hell is up with Detroit radio in general: the local modern rock station played Verve Pipe's "Freshmen" at least three times in the 40 cumulative minutes I spent station-surfing. I know they're local boys and all, but I thought this sort of regionality has been wiped out by the Jacks and Steves and other DJ-less whathaveyous.

"Hmmm...Probably the worst vocal harmonies arrangement of all time."

huh? i'd consider the vocals mostly just yur basic radio thirds and all (with some call and response). nothing to write home about and hardly worhty of either side of the superlative spectrum. what am i missing?

friendship7, Monday, 10 April 2006 07:14 (twenty years ago)

For a second I thought Miccio had started this thread.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn (Alfred Soto), Monday, 10 April 2006 12:36 (twenty years ago)

Why?

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Monday, 10 April 2006 14:34 (twenty years ago)

The only good thing about this song is the thought of Joe Elliott singing Sting's part and the pure raspture it would create.

ant@work.com, Monday, 10 April 2006 14:36 (twenty years ago)

I wish The Three Geezers had covered Color Me Badd's "All 4 Love."

Even Rod hated it - I remember him referring to it in an interview as "All For Wad".

mike t-diva (mike t-diva), Thursday, 10 August 2006 10:42 (nineteen years ago)

Well, Bryan Adams did a good vocal job at least.
