A Gift From Euphoria

Why doesn't this have an ILM thread? And why does no one care about it? If you like Pet Sounds, The Piper At The Gates of Dawn & The Notorious Byrd Brothers, and I know you do, why don't you own this album and play it every day?

MIND-BENDINGLY AWESOME

Orchestral Pop, Country-Rock, Psychedlic Freakouts all in one convenient package.

the lyrics are usually very good, too. and they were decent enough singers. shoulda made them famous.

i love this record so much, and this is the first place i've ever seen it referenced. i interviewed kurt wagner from lambchop a few years ago, and insisted that he track down & purchase this record, as he'd find the origins of his band herein.

i have a song of theirs, "There Is Now", on a saint etienne compilation. lovely stuff; is it comparable to the album?

this is the closest we got to a full blown Euphoria thread

I found $41 on the ground today, so let's talk about Psychedelic Country!

Lady Bedford is a great track.

jaxon gave me a copy of this - didn't really get into it tho. I may come around to it later.

Thanks people. I had forgot about this one. Downloading it right now for the train ride to work tomorrow. "Did you get the letter" is brilliant.
