Sounds recent and British. Guitar-pop but not too guitary -- the kind of thing where if you were trying to insult it you'd say it sounded like Coldplay or Keane. Which is kind of how the guy sings, except at least the 30 seconds of it I heard seemed better.

Kind of in the vein of Guillemots -- is it maybe Guillemots? Seemed less orchestrated and punchy than they do.

Thanks! That's the stuff. Certainly is a nice chorus. Don't know why I was thinking it seemed British -- maybe because it seems like something Billy Bragg would have done around Don't Try This at Home.

That makes far less intuitive sense and includes a shockingly non-standard noun-use of the word "mythic," but it would certainly explain why I couldn't find this via lyric-googling.
