I'm probably asking too much of the VS but do they do sludge powermess and blastbeats? Separately like. That is the sort of band I need .

The recent reissue of the Cramps live at Napa video had a tacked-on couple of minutes of them doing "Low Rider". (Along with an interminable Z'Ev performance) Scarily intense, in a way I hadn't expected from the discs. Someone should reissue/compile all of that Target Video stuff(& maybe take off those horrible copyright subtitles) Judging from what turns up on YouTube, there's more than enough for a proper US 'Punk Attitude' style doc.

for me, what flipper did is largely unreproducable, and truly amazing. the ways that flipper stood punk rock on its head (cliche i know but i'm feeling lazy) were not even that understood at the time, i don't think. they were the first band i ever heard of trying to tune so low as to induce bowel movements. and i think they influenced so many groups but didn't even get that kind of influence cred (gibby and crew to david yow's bands...)
if only there were more half-brilliant shell-shocked guitarists in sloppy, brutal punk bands! sigh.
