RFI: The trumpets in Cerrone's "Je Suis Music"

1) Are they real?
2) Did it precede the stylized synth sound that so many have used since?
3) Is it the greatest sound ever?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess yes on all three, but would welcome any discussion that others who may be more informed can offer.
