yeah, we're only playing one song but the song is 20 minutes long, it's our proggy epic based on Terry Riley's "Sunrise of the Planetary Dream Collector".

Thanks everybody for more info. I mostly don't do Myspace, since I spend entirely too much time on the internet already, without it.

I actually learned about the Kronos concert from Canadian composer Derek Ch@rke; he's got a big piece on the same program. So I'm not expecting all-Matmos-all-the-time on Friday...

But I am very psyched about the Matmos piece, too -- I figured it would be the big draw for most ILM types, hence the thread title.

hard for me to pick favorites from their gig in NYC a few months ago, but that'd be the song if you forced me to choose one. all that percussion (with so percussion helping out) was awesome. seems like these SF gigs won't have anything from the new record, though.

what's the deal with the NYC show at the whitney museum in may? will it be stuff from the album(s), or something different?
