Please help me find this expensive, rare (I think?) import

I found Popol Vuh's "Messa di Orfeo" on last.fm and absolutely fell in love. I love this band, and this sounds like their best album yet. The only place I can find it is amazon.fr and amazon.co.uk though, and on both of those it's insanely expensive -- around $50 USD before shipping even. Is there any sort of import shop or store that specializes in krautrock or something where I could get this for a somewhat reasonable price? I googled around some and checked aquariusdiscs.org to no avail. I figure that if anybody knows, they probably post on ILM.

This is what your looking for:

Thanks. I was just looking at that. The only store in the US has it for $30... which is, er, somewhat better. I'm trying to figure out how much shipping would be from the UK store that has it for $11, but I can't seem to get gemm.com to tell me shipping costs before placing the order and letting the store sort it out.

sanskrit, please refer to the ban mickey thread on the Moderator Request forum rather than filling non-aggressive threads with your retarded bullshit.

Mickey (modestmickey), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 00:32 (nineteen years ago)

YSI?

jinx hijinks (sanskrit), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 00:50 (nineteen years ago)

Are you capable of anything even resembling a unique thought, or can you only regurgitate the simplest ILX memes in your desperate attempt to fit into the pack? Go ahead, say it: "oh, wrinklepaws."

Mickey (modestmickey), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 00:55 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, wrinklepaws!

John Justen (johnjusten), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 00:57 (nineteen years ago)

Not you. Now what's left to say? Sanskrit may have to mine noize bored archives for what will bring the acceptance next.

THE EXCLAMATION POINT IS AN IMPORTANT DERIVATION.

Oh, I don't doubt your ingenuity.

Mickey (modestmickey), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 01:00 (nineteen years ago)

Mickey, how are you going to afford a $30 Popul Vuh import when you're already a quarter million in the hole?

jinx hijinks (sanskrit), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 01:08 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not a quarter million in the hole. That was better though, you may be quoted on the noize bored yet. Next time try to reference my navel ring too. Here, I'll get you started: "i bet those soundwaves sure will sound good... BOUNCING OFF UR BELLYBUTTON RING!!!!!!"

Mickey (modestmickey), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 01:10 (nineteen years ago)

What's going on here, did I miss something?

Jacobs (LolVStein), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 01:29 (nineteen years ago)

Jacobs, a lot of people on this forum hate me for reasons that don't particularly make sense. It's mostly pack mentality. Some of the less intelligent ones throw out little snarky remarks at every post I make. They don't make any sense unless you know the context/backstory. Don't worry, you're not missing anything.

Mickey - I think you're looking at those prices wrong. Checking the CD on Amazon.fr or fnac or alapage it seems to be around 18 Euros - which is only about twenty bucks USD. The price to the US will actually be a buck or two less because you won't have to pay the VAT. Shipping will be expensive though...

Jeff LeVine (Jeff LeVine), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 02:23 (nineteen years ago)

actually, sanskrit has done some creative work over at the noize board, mickey.

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 02:35 (nineteen years ago)

If that is true, I sincerely apologize and will certainly remove him from the list of people I plan on raiding in the near future.

pablo (Pablo A), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 02:57 (nineteen years ago)

Mickey, in all sincerity great that you're getting into Popul Vuh. you might want to check out Affenstunde or their contributions to the Fitzcarraldo soundtrack.
