Well, does she? The samples from album tracks on the enhanced CD single are not very good.

however, "Get The Party Started" RoXoR.

your question should really have been: D

Does Pink have any good songs?

to which of course, the answer would be a resounding...NO!

Wrong, both of you: "Family Portrait" is the best song released so far this year, Streets tracks notwithstanding.

Pink is awesome. The first 8 songs on Missundaztood are great and worth the price of admission. They're poppy girl-rock, sounding occasionally like Liz Phair (except good) or Alanis (except good). The second half of the record is all ballad and pretty crappy. The first album is good but I don't know it all that well.

I don't think that was one of the sampled tracks.

actually, I think it was all the spanky ballads they put snatches of on the enhanced bit of the CD. Stephen Tyler... yurggh.

I love M!ssundaztood. I don't know why everyone's so hard on Linda Perry either. She can't write lyrics, but her arrangements and production are first class IMHO.

"Respect" is excellent. Also, yes, the debut is consistant strong R&B.

The 2 step remix of there you go ain't bad. Not great either, but still.

Because that stupid 4 Non Blondes hit of theirs was enough to warrant eternal evisceration.

Please people have some consideration for the first album. It's not that it's better than the second (I still haven't heard that in full), but that it's one of the best R&B albums of the last few years but no-one seems to ever mention it. "Split Personality", "You Make Me Sick", "Let Me Let You Know", "Private Show", "Is It Love?"... all fantastic.

Tim, Friday, 15 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I gotta disagree, Tim; everything I heard from that first album sounded perfectly promising up until she actually sang.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 15 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Out of interest Ned, which R&B singers' voices do you like?

Tim, Friday, 15 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

As in last couple of years? Top of list: Aaliyah, easily.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 15 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The question should be: Does Pink have even one good song?

But then the answer is: Yes
