Exile on Main Street is the greatest album of all time. Funhouse is one of the greatest albums of all time.

Lee is Free (Lee is Free), Monday, 1 May 2006 14:36 (nineteen years ago)

reverse that and you've got my answer

ZR (teenagequiet), Monday, 1 May 2006 14:36 (nineteen years ago)

tie

pssst - badass revolutionary art! (plsmith), Monday, 1 May 2006 14:46 (nineteen years ago)

i predict this will not be a real fucking fight cuz mosta the people who like these albums are gigantic wusses and use their stones/stooges fandom to compensate (i know i do)

ZR (teenagequiet), Monday, 1 May 2006 14:53 (nineteen years ago)

funhouse!

jon!, Monday, 1 May 2006 14:54 (nineteen years ago)

Exile on Main Street, although I like Funhouse a lot. It comes down to "Rocks Off" vs "Down in the Street": is Mick Jagger a more compelling pussyhound for using languor as a come-on or Iggy for waving his dick around?

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn (Alfred Soto), Monday, 1 May 2006 15:02 (nineteen years ago)

Exile for me, but there really is no wrong answer to this one.

Matos-Webster Dictionary (M Matos), Monday, 1 May 2006 15:12 (nineteen years ago)

first few beers = Exile
then on = Fun House

ghost dong (Sonny A.), Monday, 1 May 2006 16:46 (nineteen years ago)

It's worth noting, though, that if you asked me what the best album ever was I would say Fun House.. but really it doesn't matter, and we're all winners

ghost dong (Sonny A.), Monday, 1 May 2006 16:47 (nineteen years ago)

funhouse, because side one is perfect.

ed horrox (girl_afraid), Monday, 1 May 2006 18:44 (nineteen years ago)

sides 1-4 of exile are perfect.

electro-acoustic lycanthrope (orion), Monday, 1 May 2006 18:48 (nineteen years ago)

Funhouse

earinfections (Nick Twisp), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:33 (nineteen years ago)

funhouse

a.b. (alanbanana), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:41 (nineteen years ago)

Exile

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:44 (nineteen years ago)

An easy one for once. Funhouse.

strom (strom), Monday, 1 May 2006 21:15 (nineteen years ago)

exile

grapple (grapple), Monday, 1 May 2006 21:40 (nineteen years ago)

I'd take Beggar's banquet over both of 'em though

grapple (grapple), Monday, 1 May 2006 21:40 (nineteen years ago)

exile now but funhouse on another day.

gear (gear), Monday, 1 May 2006 21:45 (nineteen years ago)

exile on main street today

and, also, tomorrow

charltonlido (gareth), Monday, 1 May 2006 22:08 (nineteen years ago)

Exile

Mark (MarkR), Monday, 1 May 2006 22:23 (nineteen years ago)

Funhouse on Main Street would be the greatest album ever. Also, it would be in a really cool town. Or Disneyland.

M. Biondi (M. Biondi), Monday, 1 May 2006 22:47 (nineteen years ago)

the best songs on Fun House can maybe only top "All Down the Line" or "Soul Survivor." The other 16 song on Exile are miles ahead. the Stooges are very average.

nicky lo-fi (nicky lo-fi), Monday, 1 May 2006 22:51 (nineteen years ago)

Not even remotely close. Funhouse by COUNTLESS, UNFATHOMABLE LIGHT YEARS!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 May 2006 22:54 (nineteen years ago)

I'd take Beggar's banquet over both of 'em though

A men.

poortheatre (poortheatre), Tuesday, 2 May 2006 15:36 (nineteen years ago)

Hey, Alex! Whoo-hoo! It's been a long time!

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn (Alfred Soto), Tuesday, 2 May 2006 15:39 (nineteen years ago)

plsmith otm upthread, they tie. More to the point, whichever one happens to be on is the winner for me.

TRG (TRG), Tuesday, 2 May 2006 15:40 (nineteen years ago)

It's tough. "Funhouse" makes you want to stick your head thru a plate glass window and "Exile On Main Street" doesn't. So "Funhouse".

You'll Never Put a Better Bit of Butter On Your Knife (Dada), Tuesday, 2 May 2006 15:43 (nineteen years ago)

Exile in the daytime
Funhouse at night

Thomas Tallis (Tommy), Tuesday, 2 May 2006 15:48 (nineteen years ago)

"first few beers = Exile
then on = Fun House
-- ghost dong (sonny.bloo...), May 1st, 2006."

OTfuckinM!

i loves both. it's like choosing which one of yr children you would drown!
NEITHER.
BOTH.
tho, Exile In the Funhouse sounds delightfully debaucherous!
like Chocolate World @ Hershey Park on teh LSD.
