connecting to the questions about fastest/slowest band ever, the question is,

what does make a records sounds fast, or slow?

bpm, ofcourse, and i figured the frequenties have a lot to do with it too.. but what about the less obvious attributes that contribute to the feeling of speed/slowness?

Silences at unexpected points can seem to last forever. The singer in Codeine would hang on a note for an awkward, flat extra second, then, when you expect a sound from somebody.....nothing.
