You know, the one that's part "Hard knock life" part Chico.

Lots of schoolgirls (who actually look like schoolgirls for once) and a white rapper who looks like Paul Ross.

It's going to drive you nuts. Or has it already?

OK, now I find it's the UK eurovision entry.

I'm officially daft.

I think it'll win Eurovision

Vitbe... *pause*... Is Good Bread (Dada), Friday, 5 May 2006 09:01 (nineteen years ago)

I think it'll be Top 5, definitely. There'll be some worldpop warbler who'll actually win though - one of those interminable Francophone ballads has to do the business some year.

"Teenage Life" and "Power Out" are the same song. Discuss.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 5 May 2006 09:22 (nineteen years ago)

Put a small bet on Romania this year, I reckon. A PATTERN IS EMERGING. "Teenage Life" will come 11th.

It's better than The Streets last album

Top 5 at Eurovision, helped by good place in draw. But my money's on Iceland.

It was co-written by one of the Cuban Boys, don't you know.

"...'Hard Rock Hallelujah' is not only the most rocking Eurovision entry since ABBA’s 'Waterloo' back in 1974..."

With all the eastern european countries voting for one another it's hard to imagine an entry from western europe winning.
However just maybe the schoolgirl gimmick might do the trick.
(Would be funnier if Lordi won)

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy (Kerr), Friday, 5 May 2006 21:37 (nineteen years ago)

I saw an 'onstage' performance of it yesterday on TV.

umm, it does kinda look like a 'wacky' ukranian entry, in english.

And I kinda thought it might be in the running, previously. I don't, now.

Surprised they were able to get away with the schoolgirl gimmick in this day and age, actually.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:18 (nineteen years ago)

They're playing to Europe though.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:28 (nineteen years ago)

Yes but where are the OUTRAGED/INNOCENCE Mail/Express headlines?

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:35 (nineteen years ago)

They're perving for ENGLAND though.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:55 (nineteen years ago)

Even though the Eastern Bloc will club together to ensure that nobody else gets above, say, ninth or tenth place?

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:57 (nineteen years ago)

The pervy-schoolgirl emblem takes an even more sinister tact when you realise how much Daz Sampson looks like Ian Huntley.
