Playgroup's Party Mix vol. 1 mixes 200 early 80's pop/new wave/dance tracks in 60 minutes, and though I could identify about half of the tracks, one of my favorite segments remains a mystery.

At 28:40 into the mix, a track of exhuberant faux Amerindian war/rain/fertility? chant by a female chorus comes in, and leaves within 15 seconds. Having Googled all the extant partial track listings, I still can't identify it, but thought the local experts might have more luck. Here's a 7 second sample:

Tom Tom Club - "Wordy Rappinghood"

Thanks. I'm little young to have heard it the first time around, and that part of my TH completist archive never made it to the random play. "Wordy Rappinghood" was on one of the partial tracklistings I found, but the chant bit wasn't transcribed in online lyrics, but the "Speaking in Tougues" keyboard should have been a giveaway.

Listening to the track now, all I can say is its a pity about the sprechstimme verses. I'd love to hear an Ari Up fronted cover of just the Indian whooping.
