Rob Mazurek's new thing is pretty great, surprisingly. The best tracks have the nerdy funkiness of Isotope 217 but also something of a Congotronics feel, plus plenty of choice noise.

I remember being disappointed at missing him at Sónar when he played with Hurtmold (bad name, great band). Will definitely check this out.

I definitely find Mazurek hit or miss -- I get bored when he does his faux 60s Miles schtick.
