Tim 'n' Bob (and other modish RnB producers)

OK, can't search for these guys on ILM for obvious reasons, so perhaps there's another thread I'm unaware of...

Anywhichway, Bobby Valentino's 'Tell Me' is still blowing my metaphorical socks off many months after I first heard it. So what else, besides Valentino, have these guys had a hand in? And is it as synapse-shreddingly awesome as 'Slow Down' or 'Tell Me'?

Deej to thread!

Trey Songz' "Your Behind" has great production but is not as good as the Valentino trilogy of greatness ("Slow Down", "Give Me A Chance", "Tell Me"). The Valentino album is great but doesn't hit those highs again.

Seems a shame...they hit the spot for me better than anyone since primetime Timbaland and Jerkins.

They do two of the better tracks on the new Isley Brothers.

Stuff that seems loosely connected to Tim & Bob in various ways:

Teedra Moses - "Backstroke", "For A Lifetime", "Last Day" (swirly ethereal mushiness!)

Christina Milian - "Dip It Low" (original version with less beats) (flushed with Eastern promise - copyright S. Reynolds 2001)

Rich Boy ft. Pitbull - "Get To Poppin'" (drums tapping against the inside of yr skull)

Sizzla - "Step Pan Dem" (waterlogged drums)

Wayne Wonder - You Make My Life Complete
(robthemco once said of this track: "oh i heard sars in the end, as sean said ages ago wayne wonder's spare version is really bewitching but what i like most is it's the only one where you can make out that faint murmuring on the normal dub, if it was called anything else i might take it for crowd noise, hubbub, idle chatter but on a SARS RIDDIM! oh it's ghastly! and behind w wonder's love forever swoons and the piercing emergency-respiration-beep chorus, oh! you see him alone in a leper ward serenading his dying love, unrecognisable only to him by now but she's beautiful, and he's not wearing a mask and he knows he will also die soon but no he'll be home soon. driven home in a somnambulance"

...which is one of my favourite pieces of music crit ever)

their MySpace page lists a bunch more production credits and has a few good songs on the audio player:

I had to look up the meaning of "modish," are we supposed to just list other popular R&B producers of the moment?
