I'm just checking out some of the releases on this fascinating looking label. Wow...

Tips??

i would highly recommed any of the walter marchetti records. i can also highly recommend the sound poetry releases on vinyl and the OU box. there is also an incredible release by a gent named davide mosconi... description here:

"Davide Mosconi - La Musica Dell'anno Zero

A superb LP of lighthouse fog-horn recordings. You can't go wrong with this one. Sounds perfect between Lighthouse and Lindus (and with a side of Les Echoes de Bellefords as the opener, and Anti-Natural and Bring in the Admiral as the closer, you've got a perfect musical evening.) Trust me. I've been there."

really, there are few mis-steps on the label and once you start collecting it you will need to have everything. the philip corner releases are also staggering and if you can find the lp by ake hodell... pick it up.

I'm awaiting the 3CD by Ake Hodell, actually. Intrigue....

Diasporas/Tazartes
Wolfman
Revue OU
Rumori Alla Rotunda
Milk from Cheltenham!

The archival Charlemagne Palestine CDs are patchy, but otherwise this label sets the bar. As an artifact, Rumori is almost too good to be true: Cage, Feldman, Hidalgo and (W.) Marchetti "live in concert" in Milan, 1959. worth it for the pictures (incl. Buñuel stills) alone. that the recordings/performances are as good as they are is just a bonus.

and AG is promising Amos & Sara/Sara Goes Pop and Nancy Sessay CDs.

great freakin' label.

everything I've heard, yay

special shout outs to Max Neuhaus' Fontana Mix-Feed & Ashley's Wolfman, but for the fanatic this label's aim is true

keith's reviews at mimaroglu

(actually not too many actual keith reviews there, mainly just label descriptions)

still need to hear that Tazartes guy and some of those Philip Corner Judson Years discs
