I don't know why more people are talking about this album. It's the greatest thing I've heard since "Venice." Jesus, beautiful melodies...c'mon, someone has to have heard this???/ Is it just me? Can we turn of Beirut for a minute to listen to "October Language"?

yeah, extremely excellent album. like a crunchier version of that deaf center, pale ravine, record from last year.

Yes. Belong is great. Some weeks ago i had their album and eluvium on repeat. Did anyone see belong interviews or press other than reviews about them anywhere?

"October Language" is the extension of Fennesz's sonics transforming into cliches. That said, it's sounds nice (which kind of takes away from the bite it should have).

one year passes...

Realistic IX has been total comfort food for me the past year or so. It's not too different "musically" from all the MBV clones, but it's really recorded/mixed/mastered well (to my ears, anyway, as a lot of this kind of stuff tends to sound really harsh to me)
