I love the albums Bonnie Raitt did with Don Was in the 80s / early 90s. Other white "R&B" albums like this I should check out?

I dunno about white R&B, but the only other artist of that era making exemplary studio-rock was Rosanne Cash. You need a copy of King's Record Shop immediately.
