Hi Folks,

Has somoene Lyrics from the Back to Denim LP? The first edition I bought didn't include them. My comprehension of English is far from being perfect so it will help. It may be in Worf file, as well as PDF, JPEG, TIff...

In advance, thanks a lot

Back In Denim, isn't it?

or are you not talking Denim (Laurence Heyward and all that)?

this guy started another pointless thread with the same question yesterday.

the confusing situation Enrique currently endures (Enrique), Wednesday, 17 May 2006 13:21 (nineteen years ago)

two weeks pass...
Sorry for the delay Mark (your mail was lost in a flood of professional mails and I was too busy to reply immediatly). I was indeed mentioning the project made by Lawrence after Felt (two records made, with a EP it seems). The version I bought at the time didn't include the lyrics (hence my thread). I don't feel the urge to buy (again) the recent reissue.

Best of all,

Alain

I think mine has the lyrics, but I Could Be Dreaming.

I will check tonight.

one year passes...

it goes 'i'm back... i'm back in denim; and denim put the soul in your rock 'n' roll. i'm back, i'm back in denim -- and denim put the soul in your rock 'n' roll. and denim put the soul in your rock 'n' roll. and denim put the soul-soul-soul... in your rock 'n' roll.' etc.

i love this guy's syntax and word choice after stating that his english wasn't very good

Like the way he dropped the underused "We will Rock You" break in this joint.

I could quote the majority of the Denim on Ice lyrics from memory, but am not so good on Back in Denim.

I always wondered if the title of 'Fish And Chips' is meant to be a reference to this Jack Wild song, the tune is pretty similar?

ok a few tracks in and i remember my problem with this album.
the sound and the tunes are great.
however, i really struggle with the vocals.
i'm sure that his non-vocal style is all part of the charm, but despite the brilliant setting, i find it hard going.
a few more listens and i suspect i will succumb as this still hits a lot of my sweet spots.

I think my favourite lyrics from this album are the bit on 'I'm Against The Eighties' where he sings

I'm looking forward to the nineties/
yeah I got a new girl/
we're into Ravesignal III/
'cause we're in love with the modern world
