After deliberations I decided that I wil play vocal music at the club tonight. This will include thusfar Diamanda Galas, a song of the Mbuti pygmies, Gesualdo madrigals, Stockhausen's 'Stimmung' and other things.

What would any of the rest of you add to this set?

& the prima materia album was a bit raw for me at first, but it's growing on me. more of an imprecise freakout improv counterpart to the david hykes record

Tibetan Buddhist Rites from the Monasteries of Bhutan is wonderful, but even better is:
Anton Batagov - PRAYERS AND DANCES - a music documentary (traditional tibetan buddhist rituals) -- Batagov is an amazing Russian pianist who abandoned live performance to become a Buddhist and compose his own music -- this record is a fantastic montage composed from his own personal recordings made on a retreat.

jubilee style gospel is all voices, nothing else, and i love that shit.
of course sacred harp singing is entirely a capella -- can be scary as fuck though.
i'd recommend staying away from the fisk jubilee singers and going for early golden gate quartet, or with some preacher and congregation recordings? those always rock -- "goodbye babylon" has a full disc of them...
