National independent publication seeks professional writers. Urban Pollution covers the areas of film, music, literature, and publishes columns. The ideal candidate would have strong writing abilities as well as an in-depth knowledge of independent/subculture music, film, or literature. All positions are unpaid, but will entail a number of perks including, but not limited to: tickets and passes to events, promotional cds and material, and the opportunity to meet artists and musicians.
We are looking for serious writers and contributors only. The commitment is a minimum of one review per week. The work that you publish with us will not only be a strong point for your resume, but will also provide you with experience and national exposure. We will retain first publishing rights, but with that comes recognition for your work and your name.
We want this exciting opening to be a positive environment for both you and us as a company; we are determined to publish high quality reviews of recent independent albums and films.
