Group disband after 15 years
A statement on the band's official website has confirmed the group have "decided to call it a day" after almost fifteen years together.
It reads: "(The band) would like to thank everyone who came to the gigs and bought the records over the years. The reissues of the first three Gorkys albums will go ahead as planned and will be released before late 2006."

Euros Childs's new album. It's good, but it's no GZM. Bore Da, his last that also came out this year, is pretty awesome.
I'm fairly convinced 20 Singles and EP's is one of the best albums of the last decade. Barafundle ranks up there, too.

what about richard james' records?

I think he only has one. It's really good, but nothing like GZM.

Richard James released "The Seven Sleepers Den" last year, it is a really good album indeed.

I like The Seven Sleepers Den. Richard is playing in a band with someone called Cate Le Bon; I saw them play earlier in the week and was pretty impressed

A free 32-song tribute album came out yesterday:

Most notable (to me) is the Zabrinski track. They haven't released anything since 2005. They were great.
