This song is by Saki Kabata, a J-Pop singer. But don't get turned off by the word "J-Pop". This is as perfect as twee/cute-pop gets. Highly recommended if you like stuff like Architecture In Helsinki.

We will be right here waiting for you.

Marmotdeth (marmotwolof), Thursday, 1 June 2006 05:29 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, it's from the Katamari Damacy OST.

Aditya (dan138zig), Thursday, 1 June 2006 05:36 (nineteen years ago)

I got the entire thing off bittorrent over a year ago. "Lonely Rolling Star" was my favorite as well.

Yeah, brilliant song, the soundtrack in general was great. Too bad my bro took his playstation with him when he moved out :/

That song exemplifies everything wrong with Japanese culture.

Shoes say, yeah, no hands clap your good bra. (goodbra), Thursday, 1 June 2006 14:40 (nineteen years ago)

It's anti-woman?

Eppy (Eppy), Thursday, 1 June 2006 15:05 (nineteen years ago)

it eats, umm...

Seems like Mr. Shoes doesn't like cute things.

Aditya (dan138zig), Thursday, 1 June 2006 21:17 (nineteen years ago)

That song is shit.

Don Rowlando (Sam Rowlands), Thursday, 1 June 2006 23:27 (nineteen years ago)

I like cute things as long as they are holding woman-shaped hard things with six strings that make very ugly noises.

Shoes say, yeah, no hands clap your good bra. (goodbra), Friday, 2 June 2006 03:24 (nineteen years ago)

I liked it but it didn't floor me. I uploaded this earlier today for a different forum, so:

Battle of the Japanese cute.

larssen (larssen), Friday, 2 June 2006 03:55 (nineteen years ago)

Please recommend me some Japanese cute! Link to download/torrent always appreciated! :)

YMCK - Jazzy, NES soundchip as main instrument, cute female vocals. Family Music is the album there. Family Racing not so great.

I'm sure Japan is a haven for sweet indie pop, but the only one I know of is Tenniscoats. Theme of Tenniscoats EP is the one I've heard.

I'll e-mail you a track or two if that yahoo address is correct.

thans, larssen! more, please. (hopefuly full albums!)

Aditya (dan138zig), Friday, 2 June 2006 08:16 (nineteen years ago)

i've downloaded ex-girl. not bad, but not what i'd call "cute" :D

Aditya (dan138zig), Friday, 2 June 2006 09:26 (nineteen years ago)

Not their cutest tune there, if that's what you heard. Back to Mono Kero has a lot of cute parts, though. Best taken in as a whole slab of cute.

I wish there was more to this video:
