So what else do you hardcore TG fans love to listen to that might be along the same lines? Electronic music particularly...
Thanks.

At any rate, none of them are really "like" TG, but I don't think it's a terribly big stretch to say that fans of one have a reasonable chance of enjoying the other.

When I was a TG "novice", I found 3rd Annual Report in a used record store. I had never heard of them, "industrial music", or anything more outre than Echo and the Bunnymen. I bought it 'cause the cover kinda puzzled me, and I wanted to know what the hell the "report" was. And it was only $2.
Naturally, the album confused the hell outta young me -- a sensation I later realized is rare and to be savored -- but I didn't immediately sell it back. I thought that 3AR was all just a bunch of awful disorganized noise...or was it? 20 spins later, I was totally addicted, not only to the record, but to confusion.
Sonic Youth got it mostly right with the title, Confusion is Sex, but not quite. Confusion is enjoyable and worth much pursuit, but you need to take a big enough hit to get your trip on. Thus, confusion = MDMA.
Don't work your way into TG via 20JFG. It's a great record, but it's what a friend of mine used to call a "tasty 1/2-hit". It's not enough to really hurt your brain, and if you take another tab later in the night, it's gonna be a waste. Go for the gold. Pack your bowl tight with TG bud, not the TG shake-n-seeds product.
Of course, none of this applies if your pantry is already stocked with Masonna CDs. However, I'd presume that, just like an aficionado of 70s Chicago soul will be already quite familiar with James Brown, no lover of noise ain't gonna already have a good handle on TG.

"In The Nursery" from Dreams Less Sweet was probably the last time Genesis truly sounded like an escaped mental patient...

When I was a novice, the one that got me into them was "Heathen Earth". I bought it out of curiosity - it looked weird & interesting, didn't get it at all at first, but something kept me coming back & listening to it again. Soon enough, it was one of my favourite records.
For more music in a similar-ish vein, I'd go along with whoever suggested Coil, as well as (early) Cabaret Voltaire.

Look, I'd go to any damn thing if Genesis was involved. The PTV3 show here last year was a revelation and three times better than I'd expected. You'd be a damn fool to miss this.
