Does some music deserve more than the randomized passing-by on a shuffled ipod? Or if you think something's not worth your time, so be it, there's lots more music to listen to, so fuck Joy Division or Velvet Underground or Public Enemy if you don't like it the first time...

Do I tell my little brother that with repeated listenings, some things do get better or should I just let him go with the hyperspeed random flow "if it doesn't hit you at once, it's not worth it" mindset?
