Hypnotic

I was at the Boredoms' show in London the other week - without being ultra-familiar with their back catalogue, I fell in love with a couple of trancey, hypnotic songs they showcased at the end of their set. Reminded me very much of the mantra-like 'Push It Out' by the Beta Band, along, of course, with much Krautrock.

So, my question - what other things should I be checking out if I want more hypnotism in my music listening? Anything from drone to Krautrock to slowcore (and Galaxie 500 are on some days my favourite band of all time - check their version of 'Ceremony' for droned-out pop bliss) is welcome.

Come on, someone must have the knowledge....

Anything by Thomas Brinkmann or Richie Hawtin. Particularly Brinkmann.
Khanate's 'Capture/Release' is doom metal, but fulfils the same function. Pulsing drones, notes left hanging in the air.
Most obvious is the last Liars album ('Drums Not Dead').

Damn, I love 'Push It Out'. If only it went on for the length of an entire CD.

seek out anything and everything by the Necks (Aussie jazz trio whose albums consist of one 60-minute sonic meditation that touches upon new age, techno and ambient music)...absolutely mesmerizing...
