Classic or Dud: Yes - "Leave It"

I can't find a thread for this song. If you can, let me know.

Creative triumph of melody and harmony or overproduced pompous single from a band that should know better?

Wasn't this produced by Trevor Horn? (too lazy to look it up right now)

This song was conveniently tucked in the pocket of my unremembered memories for many years until the idea of it popped out of my head this week for no reason at all, then I decided I had to hear it again.

I think it's still a fun track, and did so at the time it came out. Infact, I believe it's the only Yes record I ever bought.

So why does Owner Of A Lonely Heart get all the credit?

i tried to champion this song for a while, but it's pretty bad.

Really? I think I like it more than "Owner of a Lonely Heart." It gets for-real funky and the hocketing harmonies are pretty cool (pre-Graceland, right?). Nowhere near the classic period, of course, but a fun period piece. I do hold this thread responsible for making me just pay $0.90 to dl 90125 though, which I'm already starting to reconsider.

I can see "Leave It" being something that wears out its novelty fast though. I never play Drama anymore

"Changes" is so good until they decide to start the song.

Owner Of A Lonely Heart is the only Yes song I like.

I loved it when it came out ... there is an a capella version that they used to play on teh radio all the time

"Owner of a Lonely Heart" is a much, much, much better song.
