Has anyone seen Pelican live? Are they dynamic at all? Listening to the stuff I have a feeling it could go either way.

I've seen Pelican a number of times over the years, usually in shorter sets, and I feel like they're wilting a little bit under the pressure of the headlining slot on this tour. Their set totally dragged. MONO was fucking brilliant and very LOUD -- much more than I was expecting and the anthisesis of what the new record sounds like. It's worth seeing Russian Circles play "Carpe."

i've heard several complaints from friends about pelican's drummer not being able to cut it live.

Russian Circles is far better than the PF review gave them credit for.
