Coming Live From The Lost Continent...
Almost five years after the more than dubious 'Live On Stage' fan bootleg, there are signs of a new pseudo-live recording of The KLF, entitled 'Live From The Lost Continent'.
It apparently turned up for the first time at the offices of Peter Christiansen were they were printed (not duplicated, though). Their customer said that it would include either new or unreleased material, but they were not able to verify.
Now the album eventually found its way to the offices of IDJ Magazine and the desk of Matt Anniss who was kind enough to send us a short summary of what to expect.
On the whole it's been very well put together - whoever did it has obviously put a lot of work in re-editing tracks, utilising familiar KLF/Jams samples etc. [...] The back bit of the CD claims there's a 2CD version of "this promo" featuring "new and previously unavailable remixes". It also says "Fuck the 'Shambles, the 'Monkeys' and the rest" in big letters at the top.
The tracklist includes most of The KLF's well-known hits, some of them overlayed with crowd noise only, while others like 3AM Eternal are built from various different versions.
The promo artwork claims it's going to be released and deleted on 6th June 2006. We haven't listened to any of the tracks yet (unlike the lucky Mr Anniss ;-) ) so we don't know exactly what to expect, but if the promo sheet is right about the release date, we should all find out this Tuesday...
