What happened to the SF events thread?

I don't see it in I Love Real Life - Local Matters, or in Geography as Destiny (though that wouldn't be so appropriate, since so many people here seem to be from elsewhere).

I've been too wrapped up with work and other things to see many shows lately, aside from Acid Mothers Temple at Bottom of the Hill a while back, which was awesome.

But I'm looking forward to Psapp at Bimbo's on Saturday, June 17th. I'd gotten the date from their website, so was pleasantly surprised to see that Jose Gonzalez & Juana Molina will be playing as well. A little pricey at $20, but that's a nice lineup. Never been to Bimbo's.

acid mothers blew my mind. they are coming to town again in august with a laundry list of other acts from the kawabata collective... it should be pretty rad... check the bottom of the hills website for more info.

I went to the RX Gallery on a Saturday once and enjoyed it, but I don't like this town's trend of throwing a live band in between DJs. Do they always do that? Disappointed about missing Modeselektor the other weekend but obligations amassed.

I misspoke upthread; Thomas Brinkmann is actually tonight & tomorrow night at 7:30pm.

early show so's not to conflict with the Nurse With Wound shows tonight @ Great American: tonight is 'salt marie celeste', tomorrow night is varied other stuff. I'm going tomorrow.

There's also a 9:30 sunday night Brinkmann show, and Thomas Koner's show are still next week.

show was cool. started out good, got really bad (all english songs from technicolor, almost left) started getting better, started getting great and then i left before the encore. Sergio can play a mean, fucking guitar.

I'm probably going to regret it but I'm probably going to pass on driving to san jose for the SRL show. james tenney with willie winant = good consolation though.
