OK, so can someone tell me exactly what happened to this place since I've been gone?

I've been way too busy these past few months to be on ILX, but today I decided to check in, and noticed a lot of weird changes. There's no way to search for threads on which this has surely been discussed, so can someone brief me as to the 'why's and 'when's? Why no more YSI? Why no more album leak alert? Why no more unregistered users? Have we folded under pressure? Have all the pirates suddenly become flapper girls?

No YSI because the admin had piracy liability concerns. If you look, you can still find a few before they get taken down.

I don't know about the album leak.

No more unregistered users because of incessant spam-bot attacks, and mods with mortal levels of patience and time to spend removing rubbish from the threads.

What's the problem with thread searching? I haven't noticed any changes.

Attention: The YSI Crew

I just meant that I'm not going to sit here and try to come up with the right 'keywords' to find a thread topic that dealt with these changes when they went down. I'm assuming there was such a thread? Am I really the only one who noticed these changes? I find that hard to fathom.

Leak alert thread was boss. WTF?

Am I really the only one who noticed these changes? I find that hard to fathom.

That's because everyone who was here noticed 'em, talked about 'em and that was that. *shrug* Can't say much more!

Oh yeah, another thing.. Entertainment Weekly highly rated ILM recently in their magazine.

which might explain a lot of other weirdnesses.

Posts are now limited to very positive 50-words-or-less blurbs about anything that is related to music, and must include a Prada Bag ad.

It's a shame. Now there's nowhere else on the internet to find mp3s.

Oh, one more thing: we had one of those big polls, and the ILM community decided that this is the top album of the '00s (so far):

ah never mind. I was trying to imply that I had been seconded by a street team or something. It's a funny hat, for those who can't be arsed seeing it.
