kevin barking (arghargh), Sunday, 11 June 2006 13:23 (nineteen years ago)

There's a new Mojave 3 album? Why am I guessing it's probably unremarkably snoozy...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 June 2006 13:24 (nineteen years ago)

No way that Pony up! album can be considered in any "Best of" anything list.

elgolfo (elgolfo), Sunday, 11 June 2006 14:23 (nineteen years ago)

New Mojave 3 album is actually surprisingly upbeat rather than unremarkably snoozy!

Jacobo Rock (jacobo rock), Sunday, 11 June 2006 14:31 (nineteen years ago)

What's new about a sledge full of indie records?

alext (alext), Sunday, 11 June 2006 17:25 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not afraid to admit that I'm very fond of the new Divine Comedy record.

Eric Harvey (eric marathonpacks), Sunday, 11 June 2006 19:42 (nineteen years ago)

Geez, Tim have you actually absorbed all these albums enough to give them a definitive edge over everything else you heard last month?

gaseous (gaseous), Sunday, 11 June 2006 20:19 (nineteen years ago)

Eric, tell me more of this Divine Comedy album...

sean gramophone (Sean M), Sunday, 11 June 2006 20:29 (nineteen years ago)

Stigmata is a CDS. But, yeah, I meant He Poos Clouds. Best album name of the year!

Tim Paul (timnyc), Sunday, 11 June 2006 22:20 (nineteen years ago)

Craptastically pitchfork.

astronautagogo (astronautagogo), Monday, 12 June 2006 01:45 (nineteen years ago)

i don't see celtic frost's new album on that list, lamer.

GOD PUNCH TO HAWKWIND (yournullfame), Monday, 12 June 2006 02:12 (nineteen years ago)

the last mojave 3 record is an unappreciated classic. that said i've not much liked the songs i have heard from the new one. he's doing another solo album, that's not good news.

keyth (keyth), Monday, 12 June 2006 02:57 (nineteen years ago)

What's the The Books thing? New album already? Christ, I'm so far behind in their discography already.

like murderinging (modestmickey), Monday, 12 June 2006 04:08 (nineteen years ago)

xpost

Sean, it's the best one yet from Hannon. The opening track is called "To Die A Virgin," and is the best example of war/pestilence Freudian dread I've heard yet this year. And, yeah, it also pretty much sounds like a fey George Harrison. And, yeah, I realize that this little postage stamp description has probably turned more off than on, so I'll stop here.

Eric Harvey (eric marathonpacks), Monday, 12 June 2006 04:29 (nineteen years ago)

the new mojave is really great! it's revved up; some 60's organ, much faster tempos. the last song is slower, and it's absolutely gorgeous; one of my favourites.

derrick (derrick), Monday, 12 June 2006 06:48 (nineteen years ago)
