I haven't heard them and well... when are they out?
Does Stylus want a (very objective I'm sure lol!) review and should I swing by the Bpitch offices tonight and ask nicely for a copy?! (obv. no p2p right now but I have a bicycle & am in Berlin (still excited about it) flatmate has a record player...

as far as recent Allien projects ... the Marc Houle & Pier Bucci remixes of "Turbo Dreams" caught my attention much more quickly than this Audion thing. BUT. i like it quite a lot ... i just happen to have a soft spot for both M_nus and Chileans.
the Dear track ... shockingly like some of the more atmospheric Juan Maclean
the Allien track ... she continues with her lovely spacey booty beats.
the remixes? good, but the Audion mix is killing it!!!

Audion is unabashedly techno, like there's no way someone could convert to the genre with his music - it'd repel. Ellen, on the other hand seems to have the opposite effect. Smash them together and you get a friendly contradiction.

Matthew Dear's track builds up some tension (eventually). His remix of Ellen I can't remember a single thing about right now. Ellen's own track feels distinctly 'average minimal' with some quite familiar near-minus-y noises splattered about here & there but not too artfully, very uncharacteristic stuff... BUT Ellen's remix of the Audion track is great, broken & truly bent vocals (I remember Ketamine House ;) ) playing call and response over of a weirdly light & catchy beat/semi-tune whilst the bass undercarriage dives up and down like a kid on a spacehopper. Totally disorientating & totally fun.
Maybe I'll grow to love (Hello "Falling Up"!) or at least like the others in a while :|

Like Audion's track, sort of a thinned-out stomper, LOOOOOVE Audion (EA remix) even more and like Ellen's own track more now even if it's not anything more than some nicely building atmosphere really, one of the most tool-y things she's done. The lack of an instant 'click' factor did throw me a bit.
The Audion remix seems to be ok, but it still evades my recall powers afterwards! Feels like a more busy & cluttered version of his own track than a remix of Ellen's, weirdly.
