If it's gatefold, it's original. If not, it's a bootleg repressing of recent vintage.
If it's original, if the labels have the swirl, its worth £100 or thereabouts. If it has spaceships, it's about £30 worth. Both if in great condition.

Track one, "Ruckzeug" sounds like Jethro Tull playing Desmond Dekkar's "Israelites"

Would like to get Ralf & Florian with the poster but that sells for stupid money.
worth noting that there was a limited repress of this complete with poster around 5 years ago, and so shouldnt be that expensive - at least it better not be cos i managed to scratch my copy by accident :(

It seems to be the easiest way to get the original first two albums at all, and handy that it does it in one purchase.
Now if Kraftwerk could just stop being stupid and just re-release the first three albums legitimately. If even Dinger and Rother could make amends...

except unlike the previous issues which sound like 4th dubs of something recorded off the radio onto a bad cassette -- this seems like it's the original board recording. studio fidelity, mastered at the correct speed, and with about 25 minutes of extra material -- two extra songs, and no fades -- 69 minutes.
I nearly started a new thread on this, it's the Kraftneu album -- Rother in full on Sabbath mode, the first album stripped to relentless one chord guitar jams, always accellerating. I've posted this before and someone responded that it only sounded like Sabbath because of the tape speed & distortion, but the first track starts with a near direct reference to 'Iron Man', you can see why Hutter had left the group for these gigs, this is heavy heavy metal

The 'packaging' is a simple one sided glossy computer printout in a jewelcase. The copy I saw had the logo printed on the CDR itself, my friend's copy was just a stone cold Memorex, but it definitely sounds better than the mp3s.

I had a dream last night that there was a band called Ralf Hutter's New Yankee Workshop of Doom Metal.

someone needs to make that dream come true. ralf, probably.

From google:
Trans Metal Express (Edit) (5.42)/Franz Schubert (4.25) Capitol SPRO-8651/8652 1977 [Promo issue. A-side features version with Metal on Metal faded into TEE.]
― Mark G, Monday, 19 July 2010 07:06 (fifteen years ago)
The one listed for sale on Discogs is priced at almost $200. That makes me want to hear it.
― Johnny Fever, Monday, 19 July 2010 07:12 (fifteen years ago)
could it just be a shorter edit of TEE / metal on metal?
