So Paul Roberts has left The Stranglers. Opinions?

I think it's a good thing. They're back to a 4-piece, with JJ Burnel and guitarist Baz Warne sharing vocal duties. What do others think of Roberts' departure? Alex in NYC, you're a Stranglers fan. What you think?

Fuckin' THANK GOD!

That's not fair, actually, as I quite enjoyed Norfolk Coast. I just never really warmed to Paul's voice (let alone shtick). Thing is, Hugh just isn't coming back. I haven't heard Baz sing, so I don't know what the future holds, but it seems a bit sour for them at the moment.

At the same time, evidently Hugh C. has some involvement in that new Ramones musical, which is almost clear-cut evidence of the non-existence of a benevolent deity.

At least they won't look like an INXS tribute band anymore though, with Roberts' head darting from side to side and pulling those faces. There a couple of clips of the new 4-piece on youtube.com if your curiosity gets the better of you!
