I think what was said on this site about Martina McBrides song was absolutely rude and inhumane towards people who have disabilities. I personally have a disability that affects my physical ability to walk but it doesn't affect my brain and I want to speak out for those who may have cognitive deficites. They are people too. If you think about it the way those of you who posted on this site proves to me that perhaps the ones with the disabilities may not in fact be the child in that song or me for that matter, the one is you because you have the inability to see the human side of every person and the dignity each person has. Please refrain from posting rude and inacurate information about people you do not even know. Everyone has the right to be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Just because we are different doesn't make us any less than you. Right now I don't think much of you because of the way you have treated innocent people who God created in His Image and likeness. Please keep your ignorant comments to yourself and for future reference do a little research before posting such things that you did. Try reading about some of the great things people with disabilities have done for you in this world. You know the phone would have never been created if there were not deaf people in this world.

You know the phone would have never been created if there were not deaf people in this world.

Explain this..

On the other hand, don't.

Alexander Graham Bell's mother was deaf and as a young man he taught at at school for the deaf in Boston where he developed many of the ideas that would later result in his best known invention, the telephone.

You should watch your use of pronouns-- I have no idea what post you're talking about, thus calling me (and everyone else who has no idea what thread you're talking about) insensitive is a bit much....

Yeah, maybe you've got a point, but how about posting it on the relevant thread?

You're talking about the McBride song "I'm in Love With a Clubfoot," right?

Open mouth, insert clubfoot?

Shoes say, yeah, no hands clap your good bra. (goodbra), Tuesday, 27 June 2006 03:03 (nineteen years ago)
