Couldn't find a thread so starting one now. It's more pilsner fueled beard-rock from here in Vancouver. Even though the album wasn't released till a couple weeks ago, people have been singing along to "The Dugout" at their shows for months now.

i saw them open for destroyer last month. pleasant enough, but the songs were dull, dull, dull.

I think sometimes his vocals sound like Gavin Rossdales'. And sometimes they sound like Husker Du or Dinosaur Jr. I mostly like the Gavin Rossdale thing, though. Golden State = Top 10 Albums that weren't made by Mozart.

they sound more like sugar than husker du to me. is there a band on jagjaguwar that doesn't have members of Black Mountain in it?
