It's not that one unfortunately. This one has got more of a slick electronic funk treatment. If I recall correctly the Harriot one had more of a live sound.

have you listened to either the Map of Africa or the mix posted upthread? it's totally not the same song. the MoA is like a rock song and this is an early 80s electro version.

i don't have the Derrick Harriot version to double check, but this review REALLY makes it sound like it's the one you're looking for

Ok I am home now and have dug out the Negro CD to double check. I was wrong, it was the Harriot version. I have no idea why I was so sure it wasn't this version, I really remembered it being more rock-ish, like the Map of Africa one. But anyway, track ID solved!

hi i cant listen at work but jerry cucuzzella did a version of black skin blue eyed boys that was pretty italo. he's a great producer i might add did loads of weird but great disco italo pop
