Anyone have this on CD? I've had it on mp3 for years and years and just got around to buying it today. It lists track 13 as "Fuckhead" but my version only has 12 tracks, ending with "Motherfucker." Is this a common mistake, or what?

Is this a common mistake, or what?

Yes, but I forget the story behind it.

Amazing record, btw, especially the lyrics.

maybe track 12 includes both tracks? fuckhead is only 30 seconds long or something

Is that the one with I'm Livin' In The Back Seat of My Car? The Dwarves made me feel bad when I used to like them a lot. The best album they made was Lick It. That didn't make me feel so bad, either.

totally awesome record. I need a copy again.

The Dwarves are to the Ramones as Negative Approach is to the Germs and Slayer is to Metallica, amirite?

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:45 (nineteen years ago)

not so sure I get the NA/Germs part of that equation tho...

and I'll fuck, and I'll fuck, and I'll FUCK .... in the BACK SEAT OF MY CAR!!!

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:51 (nineteen years ago)

Dude! It's "And I hope/Yeah, and I hope..." etc. which is significant because of the humanistic side to Blag. He was just hopin'.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:55 (nineteen years ago)

Which album contains the couplet:

"Keep me after class/
Stick a ruler up my ass
Lesbian nun
LESBIAN NUN!!!"

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:56 (nineteen years ago)

oh that was a single... yes, what a great moment in rock lyrics.

everyone here's heard my blag story.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:57 (nineteen years ago)

They were important.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 03:58 (nineteen years ago)

you just crushed my dreams, Tim.

I spent the last 15 years thinking that that line was "..and I'll FUCK.."

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 04:07 (nineteen years ago)

oh! I have a Dwarves story too! I stayed at the Chelsea Hotel at the same time that they did. I was in NYC for a "cmj festival" in like 1992gax. They were there to play a show. We both stayed there. I saw them checking in in the lobby, I didn't say anything to them. the end

dwarves : ramones :: ILM : ???

the fuckablity of late picasso (vahid), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 04:33 (nineteen years ago)

One time I saw the Dwarves at this club where there was an upstairs and you could look down on the stage and I was up there when the Dwarves were setting up and could see that Vadge Moore had interesting philosophical quotes written on his cymbals!

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 04:35 (nineteen years ago)

are the dwarves a major influence on the locust, or what??

the fuckablity of late picasso (vahid), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 04:36 (nineteen years ago)

I think (and know, to be unfair) that Drop Deap and Crossed Out are much more of touchstones to The Locust dudes, though I'm sure they saw them a few times.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 04:42 (nineteen years ago)

hmm ok, i always thought "locust = dwarves + unsane + clickitat" but i guess the way you put it makes sense too.

the one song with a panning bee buzzing sound effect in it always creeps me out since im fucking bee-phobic

latebloomer aka rap's yoko ono (latebloomer), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 07:00 (nineteen years ago)

I always thought it was:

"Don't need no rubber
Don't need no goo
I wanna stick my fucking cock inside of you"

Matt Carlson (mattsoncarlhew), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 11:49 (nineteen years ago)

And I believe it's

"I can fuck you to death, I can fuck you insane"

Ah, the things I learned in college...

Matt Carlson (mattsoncarlhew), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 11:50 (nineteen years ago)

I have the opposite problem with the "Blood, Guts and Pussy". I bought the elpee version, an eleven track affair that concludes with "Astro Boy". Don't even have no "Motherfucker", motherfucker! Felt gypped (no offense to any Jewish persons who may be present in the house) by the fact that the ceedee version included tunes not on the ULTRA-SHORT LP.

Then again, "Motherfucker" was on the 7", so what thee fuck, y'gnaw? (Plus that one blood-sodden harlot looks REALLY FUCKING HOT on the single jacket. Much more so than the hellpee. Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talkin'bout...)

fuckfuckingfuckedfucker (fuckfuckingfuckedfucker), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 12:38 (nineteen years ago)

I saw them open for a reconstituted Fear back in about 1991 or 1992. Blag threw his short, Freddie Mercury-style mic stand into the audience - overhand and hard - and hit some dude in the head. The guitarist flicked lit cigarettes at the people up front. The set was only 15 minutes long, and musically unmemorable.

pdf (Phil Freeman), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 13:00 (nineteen years ago)

The best part is this album was always full priced, and it's something like 14 minutes long.

I saw these guys live about 4 times. Always a blast.

I bonded with Kirk Hammett once because I was wearing a Dwarves t-shirt.
