gear (gear), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 16:54 (nineteen years ago)

can i say that despite his slightly 'chippy' tone, vahid continues to start/contribute to provocative threads that are worth reading, this guy j arthur rank gets on my tits - he's sort've like the dr. morbius of free jazz - but i enjoy being annoyed by his contribs, he certainly knows his jazz, scott seward always brings the roffls, ronan remains undimmed, the burial thread was gd, stormy davis and tim ellison are true scholars, i enjoy marcello and dada and mark grout on the fopp threads, julio when he pops up, fuck me george gossett turned up the other day, GREAT to see him as ever

so, yknow, the wheel turns, the days run away like horses etc, ilm still mostly sucks but NOT ENTIRELY even now

With their psychedelic brand of heavy metal and one-two punch of melody and riffs, Wolfmother make for a riveting live show. The combustible set that we've captured with Live From Vegas at the Palms shows the band powering through six tracks (including "Woman" and "Love Train") from their self-titled debut album. iTunes filmed the entire performance at the Palms and also chatted with the Australian rockers beforehand to see how their growing success is affecting them. Get the live show and interview footage as a single download, exclusively on iTunes.

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 22:15 (nineteen years ago)

why is the MSTRKRFT thread so bad and hated??

i feel like it's actually leading to quite a bit of good discussion, barring the bot-like "not-getting-it" whininess of the dance-rock faithful.

the fuckablity of late picasso (vahid), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 22:25 (nineteen years ago)

15. [The threads of people worrying about a time when or complaining that they 'don't like' music any longer]

i think he's pissed about people not getting luomo

lf (lfam), Thursday, 29 June 2006 02:23 (nineteen years ago)

That makes no sense, Luomo fans are the sort who would be very live-and-let-live about not liking the music! You know, "That's cool if you don't like it, I just really enjoy this album," before they go back to drinking water or whatever Luomo fans do.

I am off to drink my water now.

David Lettermen loved them when they played on his show. I was left pining for Dio-era Rainbow.
