There's a million Sly threads already but I'm specifically looking for ainfo/advice on some of the stuff Sly worked on at his peak - I've got the Little Sister 45s (which are awesome), but I'm having a little trouble digging up the following:

Billy Preston "Organ Transplant" - apparently Sly co-wrote some stuff on this and "arranged" it...?
Joe Hicks - was it just the one single that he put out that involved Sly?
Bobby Womack - supposed to be all over Riot and claims to have recorded tons of stuff with Sly, did any of this turn up on his records?
61X - don't know anything about this group except that they released a Stone penned-n-produced single on Stone Flower w/a song called "Dynamite" as the a-side.

My interest is rekindled after hearing that amazing "Life&Death" medley on the Chairmen of the Board's "Skin I'm In" LP...

As far as I know, there were only four Stone Flower records, all singles:

*the two Little Sister singles ("You're the One" pts. 1/2 and "Somebody's Watching You"/"Stanga")
*the Joe Hicks single ("Life & Death in G&A," pts. 1/2--a re-recording of a song Sly had written for Abaco Dream)--as far as I know Hicks' other stuff doesn't involve Sly
*the 6ix single ("I'm Just Like You"/"Dynamite")--a supposedly slightly different mix of "I'm Just Like You" is on the Funk Drops 3 compilation and is a) awesome and b) self-evidently just Sly in the studio; have not heard "Dynamite" and imagine it's probably a remake of the old S&TFS song

If anybody's got the 6ix version of "Dynamite," I would be... grateful.

Abaco Dream...?

I am really curious to hear the 61X as well - the Little Sister tracks are similarly all-Sly, I believe. more of that please!
