One of the Hot97 mix shows played a Jay-Z track where he raps in mock-crunk style over a mock-crunk beat. Does anyone know what this is? Is it one of those many *unreleased* tracks floating around on mixtapes?

Rick Ross "Hustlin'" remix? That may be what you're lookin' for.

It's Rodney, who erupts like a volcano and covers you with his love! (R. J. Gree, Monday, 3 July 2006 21:01 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think there's anything "mock" about the Rick Ross remix with Jay-Z?

Not at all, but that's the closest thing I could come up with to what he's describing. If they just played Jay's verse and he was unfamiliar with the original, it could come off that way.

It's Rodney, chocolate-covered, freaky, and habit-forming! (R. J. Greene), Monday, 3 July 2006 22:24 (nineteen years ago)

Well I only heard it once. Anyway, "mock" or no it was definitely Jay-Z rapping in crunk style, which I dug.

Maybe his verse on Bun B's Get Throwed?
