I remember years ago telling a coworker about all this, he then told me he was going to go home and try it on acid that very night. He told me a few days later he did what he said he was going to do and that it blew his mind. I'm just now remembering all that.

I'm not that ballsy as the very few times I did acid were way too much. That drug kicked my ass and had to stay away.

That was fun, tho obviously Pink Floyd didn't watch the film while recording the album. Album is over but the movie still has about an hour to go. Glad to go through that whole experience just once.

Had the Ultraworld episode of Blake's 7 on as visual accompaniment to the second CD of the first Orb album. No I wasn't stoned but it was kind of amusing. The reveal of the huge ever growing brain that rules from the centre of the ultraworld does pretty much coincide with the start of the last track.

i don't think there's an album / movie combo in existence that wouldn't yield some wild sync moments. because that's how the human brain works.

I recall a while back someone suggesting Born in the U.S.A. and Gangs of New York for some reason. I'm not sure how many illusory sync moments came out of it, but it just played like a hilariously cheesy soundtrack, as if all the ideas were still there but with an absolutely misguided judgment in musical scoring.

Since this happened one week ago, I wanted to provide some context:

Interestingly, the next part of the move is they run through the "flowers" and then fall asleep. Seemed like a lost opportunity to me :wink:

I remember an old flatmate of mine tried this once. He also borrowed a Stockhausen album from me and I came home one night to find him watching "Metropolis" with the album playing and him insisting the two lined up perfectly. I can't remember what album it was though.
