The kid had nothing to do with the band, if I remember correctly. Raymond Ebanks, the rapper for Bomfunk MCs is one of the few Finnish old school eighties rappers still active, but I don't think he's that good actually. Freestyler is a genius song though, but the main credit for it goes to their producer, JS16 (who also co-produced Darude's "Sandstorm").

i quite liked the bomfunk thing. much better than any other commercial dance coming out at the time.

I always preferred "Down the Drain" to "Here We Go" - that one is better than any Bomfunk tune.
