I always hoped to meet my wife at a gig. Never happened, I just had to resign myself to a partner with more mainstream taste. Fortunately, my wife is not particularly passionate about music so I control what we listen to for the most part. It only really becomes an issue on long car rides so I created a huge 400 song 80s set with stuff I can tolerate and nothing I hate. Plus I've been able to introduce her to the soft side of the underground - Lloyd Cole, Robyn Hitchcock, Go-Betweens, XTC, Innocence Mission, Chills, etc.

We're currently arguing over custody of the Bjork album and the politics of small differences that means she likes Of Montreal more than I do, and I like Two Lone Swordsmen more than she does.
