a) Chain bars do nowadays have a Razorlight/Kaiser Chiefs/Zuton CD spinning at various points during the day. Did a similar thing happen during Britpop?
b) Is there a link between the love of R&B at this level and how rap music is dead as a commercial entity in the UK.

Dom, when did you last go into a Wetherspoon's pub? This is about as useful a cultural barometer as Lex's sainted Kids On The Bus.

Especially as THERE IS NO MUSIC IN WETHERSPOON'S PUBS.

omg i had the best kids on the bus moment the other day - they weren't singing along, but they were playing 'break it off' by rihanna/sean paul on their phones - i was listening to the rihanna album so i immediately synchronised! it was excellent.
