So I had a choice...[EDIT: interview Final Fantasy or Big & Rich?]

I could either interview Final Fantasy or someone from Big & Rich.

I picked Big & Rich. This was the correct decision, right?

it's a hobson's choice my friend...but i think you chose the worse route...

J. Grizzle--Here Comes Treble (trainsmoke), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:18 (nineteen years ago)

I hear that Final Fantasy guy is hard to get a hold of too.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:18 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, well I just assumed I would get an interview with Final Fantasy because his press contact sent a couple of nice, somewhat long emails offering help.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:21 (nineteen years ago)

Always go with the guy who posts to ILM.

"An Interview With Noize Artiste Edward III, By James Lipton"

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:24 (nineteen years ago)

It was a hard choice for me...I know that a large number of people who read the paper are more than likely Big & Rich fans (I live in Missouri), but "He Poos Clouds" really is one of my favorite albums this year.

I decided to be unselfish. Lesson learned.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:31 (nineteen years ago)

Make that Shadowy Noize Artiste.... I mean, who wouldn't pay for that?

Edward III (edward iii), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:50 (nineteen years ago)

Big & Rich have fans??

Oh yeh, Americ' innit?

wogan lenin (dog latin), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:56 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah...and their rabid fans, too.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:57 (nineteen years ago)

hahaha. I used the wrong they're. there. theeieieirl

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 14:58 (nineteen years ago)

and look like this:

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 15:08 (nineteen years ago)

wtf is "final fantasy"?

PARTYMAN (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 3 August 2006 15:16 (nineteen years ago)

it's literate-ish white-ish emo-indie apparently.

wogan lenin (dog latin), Thursday, 3 August 2006 15:23 (nineteen years ago)

Actually, I'm still writing about Final Fantasy, but I just don't want to waste his time when he's not the main attraction. If you have anything you want to know about Big & Rich, feel free to ask...I'm 16, so I'm pretty sure I can get away with most questions without ruining my journalistic career.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 3 August 2006 18:48 (nineteen years ago)

Are Big & Rich and Final Fantasy co-headlining some awesome county fair somewhere?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Thursday, 3 August 2006 18:57 (nineteen years ago)

Cowboy Troy poos Rocky Mountain oysters.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 3 August 2006 19:01 (nineteen years ago)

xpost, no, not a county fair...the State one!

Huk-L (Huk-L), Thursday, 3 August 2006 19:16 (nineteen years ago)

"Literate-ish" is my favorite new word.

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Thursday, 3 August 2006 21:00 (nineteen years ago)

Okay, more advice needed. I called Big & Rich's promotion company (WB) earlier this week. They took down all my information and seemed really on top of things, and they were supposed to send a press packet/cd. I haven't heard back from them yet (it's been three days). Is that usual? I'm new at this.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Friday, 4 August 2006 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

After reading the huge Big & Rich thread, I'm shocked that no one seems to agree with my decision so far. Anyway, I still haven't heard back from WB. I'm still coming up with questions... So far, I have this: "T3ll me ab0ut the last t1me you g0t crunk."

Tape Store (Tape Store), Monday, 7 August 2006 19:03 (nineteen years ago)

All this thread now needs is an appearance from Mr. Pallett himself...

Louis Jagger (Haberdager), Monday, 7 August 2006 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

I'm shocked that no one seems to agree with my decision so far.

I should note you do have a rather bald thread title.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 7 August 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

I should've gone with "Taking Sides: BIg & Rich vs. Final Fantasy," right?

Tape Store (Tape Store), Monday, 7 August 2006 19:11 (nineteen years ago)

Question #2: There's a f1re in your h0use and you can 0nly c4rry one memb3r of Muz1k Mafia out to s4fety. Who do y0u pick and why?

Tape Store (Tape Store), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 15:42 (nineteen years ago)

Two-Foot Fred. The others are too heavy.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 15:46 (nineteen years ago)

My 17-year-old daughter, whose favorite album this week is He Poos Clouds, says Big N Rich would probably be a way more interesting interview. (I'm not objective, but she is, I'd think.)

xhuxk (xheddy), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 23:06 (nineteen years ago)

Thanks for asking her; I'm beginning to feel much better about my choice. I mean, when was the last time you saw Final Fantasy dancing to trance in a cowboy hat?

Tape Store (Tape Store), Thursday, 10 August 2006 15:16 (nineteen years ago)

You could ask him.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 August 2006 15:17 (nineteen years ago)

Owen was really interesting to talk to, and also easy to get a hold of.

although, Big&Rich could be extremely entertaining in that "ooooh look at that six car pile up" type of way.

Quinn (quinn), Thursday, 10 August 2006 16:59 (nineteen years ago)

So, today was my deadline, and Big & Rich called off interviews to work on a project. Instead, I interviewed Cowboy Troy. While he was very nice, it wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be.

Tape Store (Tape Store), Tuesday, 15 August 2006 22:16 (nineteen years ago)

regardless, you made the right decision...

eighteen years pass...

I really love this thread
