NDW band around Udo Scheuerpflug from the Middle Franconian town Neuendettelsau, who, according to Alfred Hilsberg (Sounds 9/1981, S. 18), were "miles" ahead of D.A.F. by making Goebbels "dancable". [...]

In Sounds 10/1982, Diedrich Diederichsen wrote about "Einsamkeit hat viele Namen"/"Wir bleiben hier":

"Single of the month, the best I've heard in Germany in a long time. It's not just a Beach Boys [ripoff], but enhanced by very Germanic, partly avant-garde treatment of the vowel harmony idea."

Also notably involved with Billy Mackenzie during the late eighties -- performed on tour with him and he recorded their song "Country Boy" for The Glamour Chase -- that of course went unreleased for a long time, though the song did pop up separately on Popera a couple of years later. It's a great song and I really like their backing harmonies, so I'm glad to see there's at least a little more information out there!
