I love "Juicy Fruit" lots. I can't remember what "Hangin' on a String" sounds like.

"juicy fruit" + added electro + added r&b + added baby noises ... not quite as mindmeltingly dubby, but more meat for the feet and just as spacey

ok if "juicy fruit" sounds like foreplay on a cotton candy clouds floating through space, "hangin on a string" is like slow-motion roger rabbitting on a dancefloor in tron-space.

i wanted to add positive force's "we got the funk" but i realized the really spacious version i like is actually a nightmares on wax re-edit and the original + larry levan mix are disappointingly gritty + streets

Slight edge to Loose Ends.

Throw Juicy's Sugar Free into the debate.

"Hangin' On A String" is more appealing to me. I like "Juicy Fruit" just fine, but the Loose Ends song seems more sophisticated to me, which is a major plus in my book.

loose ends for that chirpy synth part

This is off topic, but seems like a good thread to ask in: do I need any more of Soul II Soul than the singles comp and maybe the first lp?

probably not. I gave the third LP a good review upon release but doubt that it's held up.

"Juicy Fruit" VS "Hanging on a String" = almost too close to call, but Loose Ends by a thread (groan)
