i know this was done a couple years back, and the debate still rears its head often, but i was curious what the current crowd (especially drummers/musicians) felt.

not really intimately familiar with either of them, but from what I've heard, Hill is a lot more interesting. Chippendale plays w/a lot of energy (and seems to have amazing endurance), but the actual content of what he's playing is pretty straightforward.

Bygones EP on Sargent House is pretty brutal. hardcore style miniatures w/more discerable structure than their full length, and somehow just as relentless

Zach's kick drum technique is phenomenal - a lot of what he does with his hands is relatively simple, but it feels more thought-out/intentional than Chippendale's drumming - which is also awesome.
