Rather, he sounds like Madness's Suggs on this self-effacing narrative about taking a girl on a date and being caught between macho swagger and pantshitting fear at the prospect. All this, over a cakewalk of jump lead grime, elaborate yet abrupt bursts of electronica that remind you one second of musique concrète, another of those bits in the Roadrunner cartoons where Wile E Coyote steps on a rake and receives the handle full in the face.
